Hey,
I'm Jacob.
I am an up and coming photographer, originally from Lubbock, TX. Throughout my career I have been inspired by the legendary cowboy artists and wildlife photographers before me. My goal through photography is to capture and share God's artwork to those around me.
I believe that people are far too removed these days from the things that I love and I want to use my abilities to share them. Whether it be wandering out into the woods or riding horseback on a ranch, I want to capture the moments that I experience and bring them back into people's lives for them to experience.
From grass-roots
beginnings.
I grew up in West Texas where I fell in love with the people and the scenery. The flat West Texas Plains play a major role in how I view the world through my lens. That experience combined with discovering my love for photography and art while in college, laid the foundation for the photographer that I am today.
While at Texas Tech, in Dr. Heidi Brady's class "Horses in the World of Art, I discovered my love for art while learning about the legendary Cowboy Artists that had come before me. Artists such as Tim Cox, Edgar Sotelo, David Stoecklein, and Bob Moorhouse to name a few, inspired me through their views of western and ranch life. It is because of their work, I started the journey that I am continuing today.
